After a few years off and this year's last minute dash (as of the Friday before we weren't going) I think we'll book in advance for next year.
For those who booked at this sort of time last year, how did the ACO do in satisfying your needs (!). The dilemma is pay over the top to just tickets or similar but be sure of getting what you want or enter the ACO lottery.

Book now. Either phone them or email them. If it goes wrong you can always sell your ticket for face value on this forum. We are a small party and only book one camping ticket per person and have always got what we wanted. The ACO number is in the help thread.

I booked for this year at 2003's race - 10 camping, 8 grandstand, 20 GA from the ACO and got exactly what I asked for.

Wait until early next year, and then buy from here at face value - better selection than buying direct from the ACO who will give you Beausejour ::)

The ACO do not take payment until at least Jan. or Feb. of the year of the race in my experience and then only if you agree with the ticket allocation given on their confirmation. They then give you 10 days to pay.
I have always had the tickets that I requested, whether booking during the race for the following years' event or leaving it slightly later in the year. Mind you our booking isn't as large as some. The only excpetion was this year when, like a lot of others, I was offered Beausejour in lieu of Maison Blanche, but even then I was put on the waiting list for MB and suspect that I would have got them as well had I not cancelled them due to them not being required.
Don't pay over the odds to a ticket agency - get in touch with the ACO.
