I think 2005 t-shirts are a pre-requisite.

I'm looking into flags for our group and a CA flag would be good too. As Smokie (I think) has already said it would be easier to spot fellow CA'ers on the campsites (I was fortunate, I used The Liverpool Boys sign as a landmark!! :)

BTW, don't forget my mug!!  ;)   And when are they doing the draw for the MG??

All the above a good suggestions. Any thoughts on "beanie" hats the ACO do a good one, we could do something similar? How about our own beer and wine labels?  Be happy to investigate

How about logo'd bog roll?

A little off thread but......................they have a great Euro 2004 bog roll in Debenhams. It has all the flags of the other competing countries flags printed onto the sheets so you can wipe your @rse on the flag of the opposition  ;D

Sorry I didn't get to see you and Matt at the weekend Dave! Or did I see you at the 'poo bar when I was too refreshed to know??  ???

Yeah - we looked for you but I think you'd already hit the road (slipped into another universe).  We BS'd with H and Smokie for an hour or two after most of the mayhem had died down.  We'll catch ya next year though - unless you have a Petit calling????

2005 t shirts a must.
umberella,
like the idea of a reasonable sized CA flag
What about a hat with a sun protection flap at the back. Not a foreigh legion type thing but similar

Now there's a thought!!!!!  When is the Petit Dave???  I'm building extra browny points by doing DIY this weekend to get the passout stamp for the Classic in July. In fact I've got the passout stamp already but it currently invilves the family coming as well but I'm working on a single trip as I've been offered a lift down by Ferrari Spider!!  The Petit could be very tempting though! And I'm certainly aiming for Sebring next year.

Yeah...2 t-shirts of the 2005 version for the same prices in Euro's as this year(sorry...forgot what I paid) and....a brilliant idea....two CA-t-shirts with a 1971 print in stone-washed version to make us all look like die-hard fans that have been visiting LM for 30 years...  ;D

Ok, here are my thoughts on this subject.  I think one person should handle all of the merchandise.  This makes things easier.  I will build a Merchandise section to the Club Arnage website.  Whoever decides to run the section will be in charge of setting up the manufacture, starting a PayPal account, and shipping the items when there is a order placed.

I think that we should concentrate our efforts on three or less different kinds of products to start out with.  I also think that we should set up a pre order system to offset some of the initial costs.  Everybody who pre orders will get %10 off or something like that.  We can take pre orders for 2-4 months and then start the manufacture process.  After that, orders can be shipped as quickly as they can be placed.

All we need to decide is what products to offer and who will run it.

Chris

Believe me, if I lived in England I would volunteer in a hot seccond.  But shipping from the US might be a bit expensive for you Europeans.  Especially for a meer shirt.

I have, erm, a friend who could supply personalised/merchandised accessories such as:

Bondage tape, a 'Turbo Stroker', waterproof micro-vibrators, wireless nipple clamps (although these are a popular item and are temporarily out of stock), Hush Bunnies, Thai beads, jelly butt-plugs, PVC orgy bed sheets a Firemans Pump and much more.

Bulk orders will qualify for a discount, just let me know.

Leaving the house the week before LM with a bootful of this paraphenalia might draw the odd sideways look from your missus however, not to mention Customs, so a little discretion may be needed. Don't you just love the idea of a Club Arnage Tickler Ring?

Let's make this a motor racing site with a difference!

Chris - I like your idea but .....

The T shirts alone took weeks to arrange and nearly all day to package and post.

I had thought of a paypal thingy this year, but have no idea how.

Unless profits / mark-ups are mad on the pre-orders, its simpler to just get an order, CHEQUE / MONEY clears the banks then get it made up.

The t shirts had to be ordered in a batch over 100 initially to get a better rate.

The T shirt films are ready for re-use for this year, as are the mug designs.

I will happily get stuff done, but not at doing one here, one there type deal.

VINYL car stickers, T shirts, Mugs and Umberellas are easily done.

Do the CA team want money making on top of cost to help the running of the site, or  start savings to then maybe next year have funds to make up lots of shirts.

What design for the flag ?

The same as on the mugs or the same logo as on the t shirts ?

Can I suggest Ticket holders.   Most of the ticket holders you can but are not large enough to hold LM tickets.  The one I use is getting a bit old and it advertises a Rip Off ticket company.   I much rather PAY for a CA holder than use a "free" one advertising something I don't support.

Chris - one way you might be able to help is provide a mailing list of forum members (not CA members). One of the problems with this is timing - there are people who will disappear for the winter months and come back in Feb/March, by when decisions have been made and possibly orders placed.

The logistical exercise of sending out the goods is one which needs addressing too. If sales are going to grow then we need to look at whether the suppliers can ship too (even though this might be reflected in costs). It isn't right that Robbo spends half his waking life in banks, checking statements, packing and posting.

Robbo, I can help with the PayPal thing if you want. It is really very easy to make and receive payments, and once they are verified as paid by PayPal all you have to do is withdraw it to the place of your choosing. You geta  full listing of who has paid what, and there is a comments field (I think) so that people can detail their requirements (items, sizes etc). It would save the time you spend on spreadsheets too.

And my preferences (in order) are for:
  • 2005 t shirt, same design, just change the year
  • Club Arnage flag. I think along the t shirt design would be ideal, as it would give a consistent identity
  • Car stickers (not windows stickers, the large clear transfer thingies people put on their bumpers etc)
  • Ticket holders

I really liked the corvettes sun visor for the windscreen a couple of years ago. I tried to buy one but they gave me a job application form saying you have work here!!!

I filled it in and sent it off but never heard from them again.

I would like.

Sun Visor Thingy
T-Shirt (Same Design New Year)
Flag
Car Stickers
Ticket Holder.

Certainly will be too much work for one person. I might be able to help but it is too far ahead to give a real answer.

Well done again though Robbo

I will take a lead, unless others say no.

i have PM'd chris and hopefully Mr Davies will post up his thoughts.

I WILL arrange the T Shirts this year as agreed, and will e mail Smokie for advise on the paypal thingy ( most people use cards now, cheques were an issue last year )

I have started a new FLAG design thread for ideas.

Again this year, NO PROFITS will be made and my time is for free, but gives me something different from household bores to do.

This is starting to look like a lot of  work for Robbo.   So I'm offering what ever services I can.  I'm cr@p at design and have no idea where we can procure the stuff.

I can however write web forms for people to order the stuff  and I'm quite happy to drive over and pick up a load of what ever parcel them up and post them.

So if you need that sort of help just let me know.

I also have a server that I can set up a mailing list with very little trouble.
The only snag is it would not be a club-arnage address. it would be something like caforum@lists.tmdg.co.uk  though it's a pretty easy to set up things so that it would be @lists.clubarnage.com

Regards,
t.

Tom - The t shirts this time are simple. The design is done, all we need is orders.

Dave Davies e mailed everyone who logs on here/ mailing list requests so people can find out.

The other stuff shouldnt be a problem to source. I'll let you all know soon.

I will need help with the Paypal thingy, but Smokie can help there. I have leant a few valuable lessons from last years, and will include packaging material this time around.

Most of the time will be spent in the winter months, when i am at a loose end.

I will remember your offer. Maybe the southerns can all get together next year to have a joint postal party ? JPC can bring the refreshments.

Robbo- I'm Happy to help out as well.....Pompey aint far - and although I'm a busy bunny, Im sure I can find some time to get involved.  You know what I do for a living, so if there is some way I can help (even if its the opportunity of discounted computers to bribe printers, manufacturers et all with) just let me know - you have all my contact details - so that should all be cool.

Ladies and Gentlemen of Club Arnage

I have spoken with the potentai lsuppliers ( the same as last year )

They can offer

Flags
T Shirts
MUGS
Fleece / Jumper for those who want it
Polo Shirts
Beanie Sun Hats

Ticket Holders

Vinyl Stickers

Once the prefered designs are e mailed to me by you lot, they will make up the kit.

Hopefully by keeping it under one roof, we get  a better deal, and its easier to collect.

how about embroidery on the fleece,  same design as is on the right hand side of the T-Shirt with a shorter Frnch Flag, and then a union jack on either arm??

Title: Re:Merchandise for Club Arnage - 2005

To start, just a small club arnage logo on the brest pocket area.

This way those of us who are Canadian, American, French, German etc can add other personal touches later.

There would need to be sufficient interest to cover the set up costs . By having all the Club Arnage Logo's the same for the emboidery the set up costs will be minimal per item .

Brad , if you want a Union Jack on your shirt, you may join the SPS Crew to be elligable for a membership shirt !!

What are the costs for the fleeces Robbo??  Don't forget the embroiderer wo did the polos for us has already covered the setup costs so they should come in at a reasonable price. I'll check for a quote. Are we looking at Navy Blue fleeces with the logo in white??

The idea is for the fleece to be about £20 to £22.50, and yes, blue with white lettering

The fleece is a good quality and its usually £27 without lettering, but....

Its not what you know.....

And Club Arnage / SPS Crew and Associated Companies are quite a good customer for them.

All the logo's are in the USA for computer trickery, when they come back it will take about 3 weeks to get the trial stuff made. Its then going to Dave Davies who will photogrpah the stuff in his studio.

If anyone wants to order already ( Peter )

Hang Fire.

The paypal link needs to be added to the parent site / homepage and i would prefer to get the samples done to show around.

Also the system for orders isnt yet up and running.
