Title: Ticket delivery
Post by: redstu on May 21, 2004, 02:16:25 pm
This is meant to be helpful but may cause even more concern!

In an e mail enquiry to ACO I have just received the following.

Hello,

We are pleased to inform you that tickets whose number is included between 1
and 2171 have been sent about 10 days ago. So, if you order number is
comprised between these two figures, you should receive your tickets very
soon if it is not already done as it is the case for some customers.

As for orders who have a number larger than 2171, the tickets have not been
sent yet. They will normally be posted around the 1st of June and this will
allow you to receive them before the race.

The Internet Service.

So if your order number is above 2171, you probably still have a bit of pacing and nail biting to do! :'(

Typically french  >:(
I've allready got mine, but two years ago we left Denmark a week before the race (went to Paris) so we didn't recieve the tickets.
We went to the ticketoffice, explained them the problem, they let us buy new tickets (same campsite) and after coming home, we could send the originals to them and they credited the amount.
So if You donīt get the tickets, there's still hope  ;)

If anyone is having ticket troubles with the ACO, they can be exceptionally helpful over the phone. They mostly speak good English, so if you are waiting and have heard nothing a quick call could sort out your problems (your ticket ones that is, not your emotional or sexual ones!)

Pacing, no kidding, I have a 1600 ish order number and still haven't recieved my tickets. I am panicking. I rang up on Monday and they said they were posted out on Monday 10th registered mail. Thats 10-11 postal days by my calculations and still nothing. Should I be worried or should I call them back again, or should I wait a little longer ?

PS. I have FA nails left already !

My tickets arrived recorded delivery this am  ;D

They were post marked 11th May, which to be fair, is exactly when I was told they'd been sent out. So it's just taken 11 days for them to arrive.

(My order no was in the 1400's)

What's this crap about the ACO people on the phone being helpful >:(  A couple of years ago, I got a French person from work to phone them and enquire about the whereabouts of our tickets and they denied ever having received the original order. We then paid through the nose for tickets through a rip-off agent; two days later we received our original order of tickets through the post from the ACO. Aaaauuuuuugggghhhhh :( :(
