Our Tickets arrived this morning, ACO grandstand & Camping Houx . I think this is the earliest we've ever had them. 8)
Our campsite pitch number is over 1000, the highest number I remember seeing in previous years is just under 700, have they made the the pitches smaller or created more pitches on the dirt track behind the large earth embankment? Am I going to have to make up another long mains extension lead :'( ?
-
Impressive that you get post on a Sunday were the tickets delivered by the Easter bunny ??? ???
Trouble is I'll be camped out at the front door from now until mine drop through the door.
-
I actually got them yesterday, I just copied my post from ten tenths into here, your right no post on Easter Sunday.
-
All I got on return from a weekend away was my ACO membership renewal - or should I say someone elses renewal. My renewal has gone elsewhere - hope they don't send my tickets to someone else.
Incidentally, ACO membership this year is 90 yo-yos - only up 2 from last year.
DB
-
Hopefully I should get ours before PQ then ??
-
Well by the sounds of it I should get my tickets this week.
if not the Easter Bunny will be taken hostage and there will be NO easter eggs next year....................
Its iether LE MANS or LE BUNNY gets it!
Do you think the AOC will take threats like this seriously ?
-
"Our campsite pitch number is over 1000, the highest number I remember seeing in previous years is just under 700"
I always thought that space over the embankment was a bit under used except for pissed folks doing handbrake turns, could well be that it will be used for more sensible purposes, but watch out for sideways jags etc on Sunday night.
-
Still waiting for mine, but my mate at the colour printers says it won't be long now.
-
Woo Hoo, mine are here!!

Is MB allocated numbered plots then? Or is it just the ticket number?
-

Sorry no numbered plots on MB, just "own what you want" plot, so come and arrive as early as possible !!! ;)

When are you travelling down Diddly and where are you staying?
There are several of us meeting outside the first Pit at 18:00 on Saturday afternoon to go for a beer if you want to join us. :)
-
Just to bring this back to the fore again, but has anyone NOT received their tickets yet??
-
Yep have diddly squat yet. However we will have that MB ticket soon from Ian and then the one from Airtrack along with the ferry tickets I hope!
-
Pretzel, no we haven't had ours yet but we are using a different ticket agency this year, so....???
Quien sabe?
'Just tickets' were slow last year too, only had ours about ten days before the off, so I won't start worriting yet awhile.
Selfish git that I am, if the tickets don't arrive in time I will go anyway and use my ACO privileges to get Nick and I in.
8) 8)
-
Not had anything yet, I have spoken with them and they have told me that the tickets will be sent out within the week.
Checking the door mat daily is getting a bit tiresome!

I used Just Tickets and got mine last week... That despite the fact that they had to be mailed overseas...
-
Rec'd mine form Just tickets as well last week as did another friend.
-
I was well pleased with Just Tickets last year and if I wasn't travelling mob handed this year I'd have stuck with them! My mate who I ditched the organising onto this year got us a fair deal at Continenetal travel, what with the ferry and tickets for Houx annexe and general entry, but I was peed off to find they cannot supply Welcome Area tickets like Justs Tickets can. Have to get them there I s'pose!
Bill
Not long now, Yahoooooh!!!
-
The first of mine arrived a week or so ago, courtesy of the "Wishy Booking Agency" ;D
Got a letter from the ACO offering 3 Beausejour passes... Thanks ACO, but no thanks, not three years running.
-
Still waiting for ours from the ACO, even though Wishy and I are only 2 membership numbers apart, and booked at the same time. Still, that's the beauty of booking direct. A reasonable price - and knowing you're not paying a huge mark up, countered with the 'excitement' of will they or won't they arrive in time for the event :).
-
All the MB tickets needed by the BM crew have come from Just Tickets - no drama for the second year running...just to top that, I even sneaked an extra car on the Brittany Pompey - Caen crossing for the LM Wed night - this week - a rare feat in our experience!
-
Gilles, The Liverpool boys will see you Sunday evening 6th on MB is that early enough to get space?
-
Looks as if we will be there on the 5th, if Jayne stops altering ir plans she has such a wide following.
Pxxxx
-
Paula, if you're there that early, don't forget to reserve me a place next to a plug socket.
I don't want to run my generator as I won't be able to hear what you and Jane are up to together in your tent.
-
Well, my tickets still haven't arrived, so I guess that's it.
Come the day could someone check out grandstand 6 near the front. if there's what looks like a row of off duty posties (they will probably still have their caps on), sitting there grinning, then lob a grenade at them for me.
Hopefully see you all 2005......
Yours in despair,
H
-
H, do not worry we can put you up with us, we just have to find away of lifting the Jag over all that razor wire.
Brian.
-
BigH
Once we are parked on site(by tuesday lunchtime this year)we dont need our ticket. You are more than welcome to use it
PM
-
Thanks PM, I was sort of half joking (said through clenched teeth), as the b*stards have my money, then surely it's only a matter of time before the tickets arrive. I got the impression that everyone else who ordered through the ACO have already got theirs (?), which is a result really, as I'm sure there are years when I've waited until June before they've eventually got here.
I'll be there to pop a cold one by hook or by crook...
H
PS congratulations to PM junior on his rugby success - give him a clip round the ear-ole on me!
-
Have done H and a knee in the groin for luck!!
PM
-
Well, my tickets still haven't arrived, so I guess that's it.
H know the feeling, I have given up checking now and just decided that I will be there no matter what happens!!
-
Big H - I saw a post a while ago from someone who got replacement tickets. I think this is the one instance the ACO are better placed to help than any of the ticket agents. All the best of luck from those at Beermountain - hope this works it's self out - after all if they have charged you. Come to think of it though, after the film about UK posties though, it may be worth checking the front of your grandstand!!!
-
The charming ladies at the ACO sent our tickets by UPS next day for me the week before PQ.
I had to sign for the package, so this should (?) ensure you get your tickets.
However, I've just seen a Gloucestershire Old Spot circling around next doors chimney ???
-
We still don't hove our tickets yet. But then last year they only arrived the day we left that is the Tuesday morning before the race. If they have taken your mooney by Card then I woudl think your pretty safe in knowing you'll get them.
-
Cor Blimey,
The ACO have just replied to an e-mail to let me know that my tickets were despatched on the 16th April!!
They usually send'em special delivery so I should have had the little rascals by now, a little spittle on the gunsight should sort the postie out, and then things will get a little interesting.
Can any lucky ticket holders out there confirm their despatch/receipt dates? Poor old Albert's going to have to start tunnelling now!
H
-
H
Mine were dispatched recorded delivery on about the 12th April, I was away for the week and upon my return there was a little card through the door telling me to pick up my letter from Haywards Heath sorting office. I went into the "customer services" office and the first thing I saw was a brass plaque on the wall. It commemorated a man called David "Dixie" Dean 1937 -2001, underneath it bore the legend "I know its (sic) here somewhere". Whilst Dean was a fine footballer, the master of the dribble, he evidently didn't know much about the postal system.
In short, I think you can safely assume your tickets are "lost" and I would contact the ACO accordingly. I would not recommend gunning down your postie though. Unless they have changed policy in their efforts to "manage down" staff numbers, the GPO take a dim view and will generally prosecute customers who abuse, threaten or murder Post Office employees. You could face a hefty fine.
BTW I hear the Surrey Post Office Sports and Social Club are doing LM this year....
-
Andy,
It's becoming clearer....
The ACO now say that the first e-mail about a sending date was incorrect, and in fact they forgot to charge me for delivery, and so haven't delivered. Ah well, I hope the tickets are still there.
H
-
Has anybody recieved tickets, including Bleu camping, direct from ACO yet?
I'm wondering if they have only got around to sorting out MB tickets so far.
-
H - I had a similar situation a couple of years ago (ACO hadn't charged delivery). I decided the safest option was to collect on arrival - it's easy, at the rotunda.
-
Our Invoice that came with our tickets was dated the 30/3/2004. The postman delivered them 10 April 2004 (Easter Weekend).
-
Got ours for BJ 3 weeks ago, so it's not just MB they've sorted, ours were sent recorded delivery. ;)
-

I know Andy, I know, but sometimes a man just has to take the law into his own hands, and I reckon that'll be me (ssspittt-tinggg!). There are times when he has to take other things into his own hands as well, but I'm not going to go into detail right now.
The ACO have now reverted to answer a). That's to say that they reckon the tickets were sent on the 15th, they said the 16th first time, but that's close enough. I've now paid for the postage twice, so I should get them whippet-quick.
It's not a problem though, as every time I get an e-mail from them an image in my head appears of a smartly dressed French woman at the ACO building, in heels slightly higher than necessary, with her legs tucked up under the desk, French thighs gently rubbing together though sheer stockings. She has a crisp white blouse, which is slightly revealing, and she's doing all she can to help me.
Help me! Help me!!

H your descriptive powers are excellent, to say the least, I can now see the, in my mind, the same French Woman ;) ;D ;D

H, you do NOT need help. Just enjoy the image. I am. ;)

Similar to the ones outside the bogs with the mop, handing out the tissue, expecting a euro.

Gibb,
H cannot be helped, it's a genetic anomoly. I'm no expert but I think it's something to do with a rogue protein on chromosome 10.

Oh sorry Andy. Damn those rogue proteins. They get you every time. I suppose he could always try enhancing Chromosone 8 with a re-sublimated protein. I hear that they can be quite effective.
-
Just had an email from Nadine at the Le Mans tourist board and my tickets are all complete and on the way as of today.
YIPEEE see you on MB ;D
-
Rang the ACO yesterday and after much hold music, was told they'd been sent recorded delivery on Tuesday (11th May). When I mentioned that I booked them on-line at the ACO shop, this seemed to have some significance in them tracking down my order..............
-
Got 'em.
True to their words, or at least some of them, all arrived via UPS today.
God bless her pantihose
H
-
Glad to hear you've been "sorted out" by the ACO girls H. I bet you're now "hugely relieved".
As far as blessing the pantihose goes, I'm not sure it exists. I'm fairly certain it's more likely to have been black hold-up stockings, french knickers and a camisole, the gentle sound of satin rubbing against silk as she strode purposefully across the office to give your package to the UPS man. Much more French to my mind.

Or the 'thwack' sound the rubber gloves make as she puts them on, gently picks up the mop and walks back into the stinking bog you have just walked out of.

Tony, there you go again I was just having a moment to think about the image Andy had set and you go and bloody ruin it ;)
-
Finally got our tickets on Saturday, envelope post marked 2nd April, :o :o :o :o :o
Aco must be using the sorting office in French Polynesia.

Travel Destinations have sent our tickets out for Karting Nord now.
