last year it was one of those vague, boys things I was too skint for when I was a boy. Then two Novembers ago a mate said he was going next (last!!) year in his Westfield so I said OK then I'll come too in my Midget.

Turned out that he finagued (dropped out so to speak) but I had made the commitment at last so was determined to go out of annoyance at him.

My wife dropped out too, "its a bloke thing" she said so my mate Nick came too. Cut some of the costs so that helped.

We arrived in the rain just before the race, stuck up the tent on the edge of the carpark and went off in search of the noise.

That was IT!!! I will always be back...

Le Mans no. 18 for me, yes, I've seen Group C....

2004 is my seventeenth. I'm getting bored of it a bit now and I don't think I'll bother again.

91 was was my first, have only missed one since then and don't plan on doing that again!!

I called in on the way back from the Crimea, second time around. The first was just before that asteroid incident, the fallout and 40 year winter spoilt it a bit if you ask me, and anyway, things just weren't the same without the dinosaurs.
They tried it with cows later on, but they didn't really measure up.

11th for me this year, and I've seen group C too, but not at LM. This year will be the first from that point of view.

Almost still a virgin at 7 times.

This will be number 25, thats about 32% of all the races run god help me & I'm still only 38.  

Seen Grp4, 5 & 6 all the grp C races. Can't  recall them now, they have all merged into one.

As I normally spend 5 days there every june, that's about 125 days camped there.

A mere No 5 for me this year  :-[ Got invited to go in 1999 and just try and stop me going now!  ;D

This one will be my 3rd and I am camping for the first time

First year 83 missed 3 along the way, wonder what we will be like as old pensioners? Still meeting at the shampoo bar but a bit earlier cos ive got to get to bed early, my lumbagos killing me.

This year is my 6th time and is including the pre-quals.

After a few false starts and misunderstandings in the past, I plan to make a triumphant appearance with the new chip van.

Can you give us some idea of exactly what you'll be offering, a menu perhaps?
French or English potatoes for the chips? Halibut? Any Dover Sole? - I know the French have their soles, and of course we have our soles.
Don't forget a decent selection of pickles either, a booze and munchy evening is incomplete without a nice gherkin and a couple of onions.

lots of Chips

and not forgetting.........a battered sausage or two.

Thanks for asking.  The master plan is to be on MB with the new chip van and the Daewoo (plus some tables and chairs).

However, others on this forum will imply that I am a useless, two faced, disorganised, insincere fish fryer who is a poor excuse for a catering operative.

I blame the engine in the old van and that sneaky looking gendame who refused to accept my bribe of a battered sausage and took offence at the size of my fillets!

This years pilgrimage will be the the Four 'O' bash. but only the 12th LM.
 All are invited for a beer or three, or the away trip to welcome me over for another beer!

Another big "Four Oh" at Le Mans this year. What day is yours Andy. The Rickmeister's is on the Sunday.

I'm expecting a 4th Year of continueos improvement, especially as I won't lose my entrance ticket again this year....

2001 (my first) was a bit damp but 2002 was far better ....
