Title: Sebring 1972
Post by: Fax on March 11, 2004, 03:22:31 am
A couple of pic from the Sebring pit terrace, 22 years ago!
Next time you hear an ABBA song, hoist a Schnapps for the man who put the capital "R" in racer.  If you get it, well you just wouldn't.  If you do, you've been there, done it, bought the T-shirt...and know what I mean.

Hi Rick,
Yeeesh! Was fired up last night.  Guess I shouldn't have downed that bottle of Chianti before I fixed the pasta.  I usually break out The Speed Merchants the week before Sebring.  Man thats a great old film, Sebring still has that feel about it.  The whole ABBA thing was from my video tape of the 1978 British GP, while the cars were sitting on the grid after the pit lane had closed, you could hear The Name of the Game and Knowing Me, Knowing You being played over the speakers in the backgound.  Clearly the fact that a Swede was on pole was not lost on the PA guys.
