Title: Camping required - Houx preffered Post by: redstu on February 25, 2004, 01:31:46 pm Camping pass required
Hi This year I've persuaded some mates to take the trip to Le mans. In previous years it been just me and a small tent so I'va had no trouble in fitting into the pitch of some of the folks I've met over the last few years. However this year we'll have a car and more tents so I'll need a pass. So If anyone has a spare. I'd prefer Houx cos the bogs are good, and there are no pikies, but I'm flexible. I'll call the tourist office as well once I find the number. Thanks Stu Title: Re:Camping required - Houx preffered Post by: rcutler on February 25, 2004, 02:30:55 pm You will still find the Pickies on the Houx Campsite, They run the toilets to the Ford Chicane end of the Site, The other loos are not enough for everybody there is normally a half hour to 1 hour wait for a shower but a 15-20minute for a cr*p at peak times. If you are in tents then Maison Blanche is as good but is as hard to get tickets for. Houx Annexe is close to Houx and you can still walk in and use the facilites. Airtrack.co.uk still have tickets, their VIP camping is very very good!! We are on MB this year after 5 years on Houx.

I hadn't realised they were still holding them for me! Title: Re:Camping required - Houx preffered Post by: Abs on February 27, 2004, 01:30:40 am Last year they offered me 7 Beasejour tickets so I went out and sourced mine from somewhere else, only to get a call from the ACO asking if I was going to pay for them, they weren't to pleased when I told them I didn't want them.
Why do they ask for confirmation by way of payment with 10-14 days if they hold them anyway and then chase you up ??? Not that I can complain about the ACO where else could we all go and enjoy such an event as LM! Title: Re:Camping required - Houx preffered Post by: redstu on February 27, 2004, 05:36:14 pm Well I've now made first contact with ACO, via their website!
I've apparently been able to order a ticket for Beausejour, close to the Porsche curves and a good walk to the pubs in Arnage. The site was showing 14 or so spaces available, I could also have chosen Rouge, but I;ve stayed there before and didn't care for it. cost should be 54euro inc P+P.So I'll just wait and see! Stu |
