Title: From Trainstation to Circuit Post by: Oraca19 on May 12, 2003, 07:56:34 pm Hello guys
I am arriving at Le Mans via TGV from Paris Saturday morning and i was wondering whats the best , fastest and cheapest way to get from trainstation to the circuit. Many thanks for your help Title: Re:From Trainstation to Circuit Post by: powermite on May 12, 2003, 08:04:47 pm Dont bother with cheap, get a taxi.We had one at PQ from town centre to near the circuit where we were staying and it was 25 EUROS.I realize a touch expensive but it beats waiting for the bus.

Title: Re:From Trainstation to Circuit Post by: powermite on May 12, 2003, 08:14:47 pm They are called Taxis in France too. There is a taxi rank just outside the station.
Just ask for Circuit du Mans pronounced "sirkwee du mon" and that should be enough. PM Title: Re:From Trainstation to Circuit Post by: Ruptured Duck Motorsport on May 12, 2003, 09:58:36 pm Arent the free buses from the town centre to the sirkwee still running on race weekend?
Title: Re:From Trainstation to Circuit Post by: Grand_Fromage on May 12, 2003, 10:39:15 pm There is a dedicated shuttle bus from the station to the track. Goes from station doors to main entrance.

Title: Re:From Trainstation to Circuit Post by: Andy on May 13, 2003, 06:39:01 pm you had better be arriving very early saturday as the locals go to the track as well and the trafic is diabolical, a motorbike from carrefour to bleu 10am in the morning 1 hour. no bull sh*t.
so hire a push bike or a moped or better still bring gopeds. Thanks for the advice , but the TGV arrives about 12 o clock and i cant take any earlier one. Use the shuttle by bus ! The buses have a specific itinerary to go faster to the circuit even when there's a traffic jam. That's a specific way or in French an "Itineraire Bis" and even I like all of you I'll never tell you the way the locals use |
