Title: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: mgmark on November 08, 2023, 06:29:37 pm Might as well start early for those who've managed to book amidst this year's ACO ticketing cluster***k.....
Hippodrome for me, Elanman and our lots - fortunate to get enough for us all on the same site, albeit as a mix of the 40sqm and 30sqm pitches Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: elanman on November 08, 2023, 08:15:31 pm I have aged today ::)

Still showing to me as sold out ??? Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Still showing to me as sold out ??? Best guess, a couple of tix got returned and they sold almost immediately. Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: mgmark on November 09, 2023, 10:17:16 am Arnage! We always visit Arnage at some point in the race because its so atmospheric. A lad local to me had a spare GA ticket from me this year always goes there, facilities basic but OK and better since they fenced off the camping area. Great place to be and there's always the shuttle buses for trips to get to MB>Tetre Rouge area Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Still showing to me as sold out ??? Yep, both Hippodrome sites now sold out again, but Mulsanne still shows as available to me and it lets me put it in my cart. Edit - Mulsanne camping now gone too. That could relate to me putting it in my cart - which suggests there was just one ticket available. Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: Barry on November 09, 2023, 12:49:39 pm Arnage! Great place to be and there's always the shuttle buses for trips to get to MB>Tetre Rouge areaWill probably confine myself to Arnage and Mulsanne. Haven't done these areas for years, need to make amends. Suits my mobility issues as no long walks and saves me the outrageous cost of T17 which is about the only place I could base myself in the main straight area. Bit tired of watching cars going in a straight line!!!! ACO's promises of providing an inclusive experience for people with disabilities was an absolute disaster, no shuttles from one of the disabled car parks and a very patchy service from the disabled car park near the tram station, they left several people stranded during the weekend. Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: JDS on November 09, 2023, 01:22:01 pm Bit tired of watching cars going in a straight line!!!! Two corners, a straight and a big screen - would seem the Arnage ticks a lot of boxes for you :) Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: Aysedasi on November 09, 2023, 01:24:19 pm Mulsanne and Arnage (and particularly the viewing bank at Indianapolis) are terrific spots. Now that they've extended the viewing further along Mulsanne Corner towards the roundabout, that's a lot better too. We'll be out there on Wednesday and Thursday evening and in the early hours of Sunday for the race.
Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: Aysedasi on November 09, 2023, 01:29:52 pm Prairie ??? It's one of the two new campsites for this year. Situated inside the circuit close to the first chicane. Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: JDS on November 09, 2023, 04:29:29 pm Prairie ??? It's one of the two new campsites for this year. Situated inside the circuit close to the first chicane. It's not that close to the first chicane, it's next to Hippo; you'll need a bloody tall tower and a strong pair of binos to see track action from there ;D Title: Re: Who's Camping where 2024? Post by: Barry on November 09, 2023, 06:02:35 pm They could of course make these campsites a lot more popular if the built a viewing area along the Mulsanne which the public could use with a GA ticket.
Say in that field under where it says Poste 10Bis. But would be far to sensible for the ACO. Just noticed there's a Thai restaurant off the Mulsanne. Anybody ever tried it? That's where the marshals camp. They also have a hospitality centre there and bus VIPs in & out constantly throughout the weekend. No room for us riff-raff there ;D |
