Title: Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: Barry on January 12, 2004, 09:54:09 am For anybody who is thinking about going to the Classic, I have recieved details of prices for the event.
Track is being opened from Friday evening, although race not starting untill 4pm Saturday, presumably to allow for practice and qualifing. First price is for tickets odered or bought after 31st May, second price is for tickets ordered before this date, all prices in EURO. Friday ticket 10/8 Sunday ticket 25/22 Fri/Sat/Sun ticket 40/35 children 11 incl free Paddock n/a/15 smart casual dress Grandstands 20/free numbered Car parking 10/10 Bus parking? 20/15 Camping 60/60 Maison Blanche I need to check that advance granstands tickets are free as there is an ambiguity on the information leaflet, I will also check if children are allowed in the paddock, and when MB opens. Will post answers when I have spoken to the lovely girls at ACO. Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: Barry on January 12, 2004, 03:24:26 pm Confirmed with ACO that grandstands are free if applied for in advance, children have free access to the paddock, adult paddock tickets are only available in advance, and MB is open from the Thursday.
All these questions caused much discussion between the girls in the ACO office, so please don't flame me if ACO changes anything, especially MB opening day. Looks like the Rugrat Racing Team is heading to France 8) 8) 8) Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: Gilles on January 12, 2004, 04:42:39 pm Happy to notice your team will be at the Classic.
probably we'll have to fix a social meeting during the we with every CA Classic member. I'm fixing my car, so I don't know which classic I'll drive to the event ??? Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: Stu on January 13, 2004, 09:34:29 pm Anyone know if the Hotel prices go up much during the Classic. I'm going to try and fit it in at the end of a family holiday and a hotel would be easier than camping.
Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: smokie on January 13, 2004, 10:13:43 pm They were pretty much the same as always during the thing last November. I stayed with Powermite and mates at the
Mercure le Mans tel :(+33)2/43722720 17, rue de la pointe Rocade intérieure sud 72100 LE MANS where a double for one cost me €55. It's fairly close to the track, but a drive rather than a walk. Comfortable, not exciting, recommended. www.accor.com Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: Gilles on January 14, 2004, 08:46:46 am Booking for Classic is now open for any accomodation...

not Sunbeam but Renault of course ;) Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: rory on March 01, 2004, 06:23:24 pm hi gilles
my link to the only REAL alpine badge is that i own an a110, which i bring to le mans every year. i say every year - but i blew up the gearbox last year and got no further than portsmouth. very annoying after so much fuss about camping tickets!! the car only came back to me 10 days ago after having the gearbox rebuilt for the last 8 months. ££££ ouch. fingers crossed for 2004!!! if i get there you will hear the car coming from a mile away. i need a sensible car too and am thinking of an a610. they are quite cheap here for such a great and rare car - they even made a few rhd versions rory ps is a frenchman really a big fan of tvr or are you taking the piss? Title: Re:Le Mans Classic 2004 prices Post by: Gilles on March 01, 2004, 06:29:21 pm I like TVR and I like especially the #46 and especially its drivers ;)
