Title: Footie
Post by: Lord Steve on May 26, 2014, 08:39:23 pm
In case anyone is interested and I admit, I am, the only England World Cup game while we are away is on Saturday 14th at midnight local (French) time. It's against Italy so lets find a big telly!

Holland is playing Friday the 13th at 9pm, rematch of the World Cup final vs Spain. I'll be searching for a telly too!

This season's football finished fantastically for me with this:

A day out at Wembley never to be forgotten.

Ambitious ....but brilliant

There showing it on the big screen where the bands play.
Just can't get enthusiastic about it myself.  Would prefer to watch the Holland game Friday. By 12 I may be struggling though.

Yep Rotherham United. Shouldn't really be discussing it here on our LM forum but I am so so so so happy and proud after Monday's play off win that I just cant help myself but try to share those good feelings. And the quality of that goal is worth sharing I hope you agree?

Back on topic & good news for the footie fans: The ACO has announced that the England-Italy game will be shown live on a giant screen at the big stage near Dunlop Bridge after the last concert.

Chaps,

The ACO have apparently confirmed that England Vs Italy will be shown on the big screen after the concerts.

May I suggest the presence of a Club arnage flag, on a pole, to indicate a meeting point, and that we have this as the annual (and latterly lost) meet up this year?  Saves walking back to camp......

Good plan Brad. I'm still going to the Courbe Bar first for a bit of race / beer / chat action. Who's got a CA flag and (more importantly) is prepared to stand holding the flagpole?
BTW - Andy Zarse: Still prepared to swap for CA flag for a multibag of monster munch?

Andy Zarse would swap his Mother for a multi bag of monster munch, so I think your chances are good.

Does that mean you will be holding the flag Steve!

If someone brings it, I'll hold it.

All Blacks - that was our B team you played today.

The England team visited an orphanage in Brazil today. "It's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope," said Jose, age 6. ;D
