Title: Footie Post by: Lord Steve on May 26, 2014, 08:39:23 pm In case anyone is interested and I admit, I am, the only England World Cup game while we are away is on Saturday 14th at midnight local (French) time. It's against Italy so lets find a big telly!
Title: Re: Footie Post by: xSander on May 27, 2014, 01:27:41 pm Holland is playing Friday the 13th at 9pm, rematch of the World Cup final vs Spain. I'll be searching for a telly too!

Just can't get enthusiastic about it myself. Would prefer to watch the Holland game Friday. By 12 I may be struggling though. Title: Re: Footie Post by: Kristof on May 27, 2014, 07:34:30 pm Belgium plays too apparently ... couldn't care less, hope they get trashed in the first round.
Will be supporting England though ;D Title: Re: Footie Post by: Kev_mk3 on May 27, 2014, 08:36:46 pm Belgium plays too apparently ... couldn't care less, hope they get trashed in the first round. Ambitious ....but brilliant Erm....Rotherham. Newcastle Dave? Title: Re: Footie Post by: Newcastle Dave on May 27, 2014, 10:56:06 pm Yep Rotherham United. Shouldn't really be discussing it here on our LM forum but I am so so so so happy and proud after Monday's play off win that I just cant help myself but try to share those good feelings. And the quality of that goal is worth sharing I hope you agree?
Title: Re: Footie Post by: Werner on June 01, 2014, 08:33:24 am Back on topic & good news for the footie fans: The ACO has announced that the England-Italy game will be shown live on a giant screen at the big stage near Dunlop Bridge after the last concert.
Title: Re: Footie Post by: Rhino on June 01, 2014, 09:15:39 am What about the rugby. All Blacks v England. We have our Kiwi Kyle(sunset) over for the first time in 3 years.
Title: Re: Footie Post by: sceetum on June 01, 2014, 02:04:34 pm Does anyone know what channel the rugby will be shown on?
Title: Re: Footie Post by: Doris on June 02, 2014, 12:02:19 am What about the rugby. All Blacks v England. Oooh. Who to support? It's a tough one... ::) Dx Title: Re: Footie Post by: Brad Zarse on June 05, 2014, 02:45:02 pm Chaps,
The ACO have apparently confirmed that England Vs Italy will be shown on the big screen after the concerts. May I suggest the presence of a Club arnage flag, on a pole, to indicate a meeting point, and that we have this as the annual (and latterly lost) meet up this year? Saves walking back to camp...... Title: Re: Footie Post by: Lord Steve on June 05, 2014, 05:16:09 pm Good plan Brad. I'm still going to the Courbe Bar first for a bit of race / beer / chat action. Who's got a CA flag and (more importantly) is prepared to stand holding the flagpole?
BTW - Andy Zarse: Still prepared to swap for CA flag for a multibag of monster munch? Title: Re: Footie Post by: Brad Zarse on June 07, 2014, 01:51:01 am Andy Zarse would swap his Mother for a multi bag of monster munch, so I think your chances are good.
Title: Re: Footie Post by: Rhino on June 07, 2014, 08:03:26 am Does that mean you will be holding the flag Steve!
Title: Re: Footie Post by: Lord Steve on June 07, 2014, 07:42:37 pm If someone brings it, I'll hold it.
All Blacks - that was our B team you played today. Title: Re: Footie Post by: Jules G on June 12, 2014, 05:09:45 pm The England team visited an orphanage in Brazil today. "It's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope," said Jose, age 6. ;D
