I have a source of CA embroidered hats and polo shirts. If I can get an order together before the second week in April, I can get them sent out before June.

Polo sizes are S - M - L - XL - XXL (Both in male and female versions of the shirt)
They are American sizing so (I am told) quite generously proportioned.

The more orders I have, the cheaper the price I can get, but as a guideline...

You can have blue stitching on white if you like, or white on black at the same price.
There are other colours available at a £5 surcharge - Green, Red, Maroon, and Grey.

How about a 2014 CA group picture in our new CA shirts on race week end - could be on BN or in the Guiness tent?

I'll allow orders to accumulate for another week or so, then once I have an idea of numbers I'll get an exact price from the supplier. The samples should have arrived by then too and I'll upload pictures of the 'real thing'.

Nothing like a 'long sleeve polo' I'm afraid from the same supplier. The closest they have is a long sleeve 'hoodie' style T-Shirt, but it will not take embroidery so it would be a print rather than stitching.

Could I have a grey with blue embroidery in large please. Understand that there's a £5 surcharge. Thanks

The samples are due to arrive on Monday or Tuesday. If they pass muster I'll post my own pictures. After that I'll set a date for placing the order, probably in the first week of April. In the meantime I've re-attached the supplier's images to bump them further up this thread.

Update.

I now have the samples. The cap is a very generous size and has a neat adjustable buckle strap at the back that includes a place to tuck the spare length of strap (much posher than the usual plastic snap strip). Both cap and polo are pretty much exactly as the sample pictures already posted, but I'll take some pics of them tomorrow anyway. They were right about the sizing, it is pretty generous, at least the 'M' appears to be. 

I'll post the final list of orders on 1st April (Tuesday). I'll place the order with the supplier a few days after that.

Only just seen this as I'd like a Polo Shirt  :-[

Now Small or Medium that is the question as if yank sizing I think small

I'm a "compact" build with 38-40 jacket size and 'M' is OK for me, and S might be a bit tight. The M sample I have is exactly 40in chest measured under the armpits. If in doubt I'd advise one size up.

Having seen this last post, I'm optimistic with an "L" and would like an "XL", please.

I've responded to the PM with the same and will pay by BACS today.

I've avoided posting account details in 'plain sight' bearing in mind what happened a while ago to the CA charity account.

I will planning to assemble another order next week. This will be the last before June.

What happened?

Fraudulent direct debits were set up. The money was recovered but I'd prefer to avoid it happening.

As GF says - several attempts were made to set up direct debits on the CA current account.  Opened my eyes a lot as anybody can set up a DD without a signature.  There were 6 successful dd's set up totalling £156 - fortunately all refunded by the bank.  Subsequent attempts (one for over £900) failed after I noticed the fraud and put a stop on the account. I keep only £1 in that account now so any further attempt will fail.  The account details as published in the Guide now relate to a deposit account, from which no-one can set up a dd.

What gets me is that it should have been so easy for the police to nab the perpetrator, but to my knowledge, no action was taken - at least I was not asked to provide evidence.

I am really surprised at this. I thought that the bank couldn't accepted the DD instruction without checking that an account holder had authorised it? 

In my experience, financial fraud isn't a priority for the police - it's more complex and perhaps less exciting than chasing a robber or someone without a driving licence or insurance. You could argue that the risk to us is higher than with financial fraud.

That said, the Economist put organised criminal attack on the UK public sector at £9 billion per year, so we're all paying, we'll most of us are!

I found out the other day that criminals pay much more for the credentials of a well used twitter account than a National Insurance number - I heard up to £300 instead of £20.

Yes and no...

Box arrived (Parcelforce) with contents robbed. Replacements due today. Once I get act together writing address labels, they should be with you within a few days.

So if we spot a rough looking, half shaven, half shot bloke wearing a CA T shirt in the next month or so, we should report him as a lead to a potential thief? On second thoughts that could be any of us in a field in June!
