Inetersting that Mid-Ohio is not on the calendar this year, which it has been the ALMS inception, but Indycar has confirmed their August 4th date at MO.
The big rumor is that Vegas has been dropped from the NASCAR Truck series calendar in favor of Mid-Ohio, I don't know what to make of all this? There's still a big hole in the ALMS schedule right around there, so it may  just be a case of still finalizing the deal.  The other interesting thing is the shared ALMS/Grand-Am weekend Road America, nuff said!
Read a little more today online, the ALMS and Mid-Ohio couldn't find a date that fits the TV schedule, so off the calendar this year, back on the unified calendar next year.
The Laguna Seca date confliccts with the Nurburgring 24 Hrs, so many of the GT regulars will be in Germany, and the WEC round in Japan conflicts with the Petit, the final ALMS race.  I suppose that's sort of fitting, none of the manufacturers will be there, which has been the story of the ALMS in recent years, helping to lead to its demise.
