Title: LM2013 - Ferries
Post by: Brad Zarse on October 17, 2012, 01:55:31 pm
Chaps and Chapesses - Just thought you might like to know that the ferry prices appear to have dropped (since I last looked anyway).

Just booked Portsmouth - Le-Havre, on the days, and at the times I wanted, for 4 people, at a total cost of £224.00 - This is down from the £325 that they wanted when they went on sale, and the £450 that I paid last time we went to LM in 2011!  Maybe LD lines missed the race date change?!?  ;D

Glad to see your going this year Brad.

Being a Dad you seem to be planning ahead, something I have never managed to do    :-\, well done.

Not overly, given that the booking system won't let you book past the 6th Dec 2012 Kev?!?

These offers are only valid until 6th December, so they are of no value to LM traffic.

An alternative, especially if you drag a trailer/caravan, is to use another of their offers.  Either go to:

www.dfdsseaways.co.uk/nec

or use the regular dfds site using the promotional code ENEC.  This should give you a return fare for car + caravan (or just a car!!) of £78.  Spaces are limited, and if you get an error message, it may mean that there is no more space on that particular ferry, so clear out your cookies and try a different date/time.

Still do, Fran - just booked to go over on 10th Nov.  Booze & baccy - although I don't smoke anymore, will get some for SWMBO and my daughter (won't sell it of course - that's illegal!!).  So the £22 return is OK for me at this time.

On the night ferry out, and the 17:00 ferry back?

If so, you'll be on our ferry.  And that is not good news for my chances of getting any meaningful sleep!

Brad - Yes to both questions

Oh dear, may need to find a place to pull over for a kip when I get of the ferry (which we did this year)

Must pack more aspirins
