Title: Any Business Solicitors in the House??? Post by: Robbo on March 14, 2012, 09:50:48 am Recently moved premises and redirecting mail etc..
Received a letter with the wrong address on it for insertion into an Expo guide. Filled out new address details and sent it off but now it appears I am into a 3 year contract at €1,300 a year to be in their publication! Tried to cancel it but they say I can't - The company is based in Mexico. One thing they did was to copy & paste my company logo from my website to theirs without my permission which I think is illegal. I have all the relevant paperwork if someone could be kind enough to have a look! Many thanks in advance!! Title: Re: Any Business Solicitors in the House??? Something similar happened to me. By a twist of fate, I got into a 4 year contract with a USA based company for services I didn't need and didn't want. I refused to pay and told them to tear up their 'contract'. They sent threatening letters. I said 'sue me'. They didn't, and I've heard no more from them. I spoke to them and said if they sue me, I will sue them! |
