As have just had a beer with Barry and the northerners have organised theirs perhaps we should sort ours out.
I suggest the Gateway in Reading again.
Owing to being in the pub while posting this I am apologise.
Please vote.
Vegas.
Edit:---
Friday 9th of December
The Gateway, Reading - http://www.reading-irish-pub.co.uk/
5 minute walk from Reading Main Station
Hotels a plenty in Reading but avoid the dated Travelodge nearby, The Premier Inn is better and cheaper.
-
You beat me to it!
Can you set the pole up so we can vote for more than one, that will give us an idea on what the best days are for everybody.

Set the votes per person to the same number as there are options, I think.
-
I've set it so that you can vote for up to 6 options.
-
Thanks Steve

A bit early maybe buy why not combine this with Brad's 30th on the 18th November.

In my case, I can't make Brad's do so am looking for other options for pre-Xmas sherbets with fellow CA'ers.

Trying to do both ;D

Partially because my party is on the 19th November :)
-
That,s just being picky
-
Not a huge response, shall we narrow it down to Friday 9th or Saturday 10th.
The Friday has the most votes and I appreciate that there are Xmas do's on the Saturdays in December.
-
Friday for me as I have weddings on the Thursday & Saturday!
Wait all year then two come along at once! ;D

Can't do the 9th as Trayboy and I are away skiing with Jimmy and Clive early on the 10th and I don't trust myself being able to get up.
I'm sure there will be plenty of others opportunities though.

Opposite the Pitcher and Piano?? Are you sure??
-
Forgive me - it's up the road from the P&P - on the same side of the road. Opposite the P&P is a Burger King! I've stayed in that Ibis before - needless to say, I'm banned from doing so again!
-
Are you allowed to come out and play tomorrow evening Brad?

Have fun gang, lots of booze and not to many hangovers tomorrow, but worry about that tomorrow
Cheers from up't Norwth ;D

It all seems to be going to plan. I've just jumped ship as I started at noon, and I got into trouble last time

Kebab!

Where is everyone?
Mr Underwood did look slightly the worse for wear when we poured him in to the Ibis last night.
Mr Redford? Mr McCabe?
Self & LuxExpat did the kebab thing, then hit a club until 02:30.
No hangover today! ;D

Didn't think you were THAT bad, Tom?

Oh my poor head. I'm not drinking with you lot again, and I'm not staying in that hotel again when the ceiling moves like it does.

Thats a pity, I already have a bottle for Le Mans next year :)
-
Shhhhh!
Listen......
I'm sure I can hear Barry chundering despite being 50 miles away!
-
I'm getting too old for this, but an early exit did score some serious brownie points.
See you next year
-
I have not chundered because of alcohol abuse for 33 years.
And that includes the Black Sambuca and Tequila night 2 weeks ago.
-
Good man.
Time for hair of the dog yet?
Chin chin.

Old speckled hen about an hour ago, barcardi and coke in my hand, bottle of claret breathing to go with the rib eyes.

Like Brad I usually ignore my own, sensible, advice.
What's your pitch number? ;D
-
There is a possibility that Neil's tequila might not make it to Le Mans.....as I am looking after it for him!!!!
I keep looking at it and it says " open me".......... ;D
Andy
-
As long as it doesn't say 'drink me'.
-
Sounds like a good night was had by all. HUGE thanks to JPC for the very unexpected phone call and great to catch up with a few of you. :-*
Hopefully see some of you at a motor race in the not too distant.

He'll be on Maison Blanche somewhere near DfH I hope. ;D
-
what day is it?
I got home at 3:00am. I'm not entirely sure where I went, but I know it wasn't home, and I know there wasn't more alcohol there....I seem to remember eating chicken, and the cabbie asked me why I was walking in completely the wrong direction to get home - so I assume I was in the arse end of town, where nobody really likes to go at stupid AM.
Splendid evening had by all.... Rum and I are going to have to stop becoming so closely acquainted.
Nice to speak to Doris for all of 5 words :) love you Doris :)
Brad
P.S. Who left me with the group in the corner? The big gay guy took an immediate liking to me, saying I looked like James Corden....he offered to buy me a pint of Rum, with a shot of Rohypnol in it..... Doesn't ANYONE adhere to the code of not leaving your mates these days??

Just found the MB pitch numbers X and W 51-53.

Good to see everyone on Friday. 8)
Like Paul, I too was amazed at my lack of hangover on Saturday morning - so having seen the state of Bob when I helped him open the exterior door of the Ibis, I'm rather glad I didn't drink that amount in lager, but London Pride.
I also had to drive back to Bormuff on Sat morning.... :police:
Barry, so much for you going to your young 'uns footie on Sat a.m.!
