10 am on the of the French version of the email, so 9 am here then?

Not that there will be any tickets that we would be interested in.

Just a tip which you probably don't need anyway!  If you need to sit together with other members then you must phone and have all the membership numbers with you when you do so.  The software on the website still won't let you do this.

Digits crossed, I think that playing the disabled card has succeeded in getting me into MB.  They're only offering me one place though so I won't be able to take it up as it leaves no room for the car but I'm working on a second one.  Wish me luck, chaps.

I've managed to book 2 tribune tickets online but nothing appears to be available for any campsite!

Same here could only see Yellow campsites with any availablility ie Beasujour etc. Nice to see the ACO's priority to members is as good as ever !!

As expected I am having difficulty with the online ordering. As some others have been successful maybe someone can give me some pointers.

The site stated that if you have not booked tickets online since last year then you have to register for ticket ordering. Well, I gave up last year with all the problems and ordered in the traditional manner.

The site requests that your enter your surname, christian name and membership number and this will redirect the member to an 'events' page where you can set up an ordering account using your mobile phone number as the login username.  Well, I've tried all that but to no avail, so I am not able to get through to the ordering stage.

I have of course e-mailed the ticketing office directly but am not expecting a quick response......

Anyone have any idea how I can create an ordering login, or an I just a victim of a less than reliable site?

Thanks in advance.

Pete B.

You should now receive a code via SMS which you enter into the site, then you create a password and then it opens.  It's typically user-unfriendly in that you have to click on the text on the intro' page to gain access once you've done that.  Once again though, there's little on offer.  When I tried it would only allow me to book one ACO grandstand seat so I reckon that my e-mail booking must have been dealt with.  Digits crossed.  How boring that this is still so wrong.  It seems as if the Big Cheese's efforts in taking our problems direct to the ACO have fallen on deaf ears.

Heath permitting, I'm going to make an effort to get to the AGM next time as this is trying even my patience.  Without the disabled thing I doubt I'd be able to go as nothing on offer on the website is any good to me with the wheelchair.

Houx: they'll let you order the tickets, but when you want to check out you get this message:
"Il ne reste plus assez de sièges disponibles." (there aren't enough spaces available).
The ACO service is as good/bad (please choose what is appropriate) as ever!

Update - as of 18:30 UK time today.

Have finally negotiated my way into the ordering system and placed an order for Enciente Generales and parking but still not able to order ACO tribune tickets. Only get the option for 1, and when selecting that get the message like others that I am out of credit!?!

Still, I now have an order reference for the other stuff so will e-mail the ticket office quoting that and requesting ACO tribune seats and see what happens..........

Message I received from Andy @ Team Langoustine:

"We are hoping to get the same allocation as last year, although I have asked for the allocated pitches to all be together and not fragmented.

We cannot guarantee anything though until we get our confirmed allocation from the ACO. This normally comes late Nov/early Dec, so I will keep you informed."

Having waited all day yesterday for the woman who had promised I could have my grandstand seats and 1 spot on MB, she sent me a very rude e-mail when I asked what had happened, to say that if I hadn't heard then it meant nothing had been done. >:(  So today, of course, there are no seats next to each other left in the only grandstand I can use.  I am not a happy bunny but we are at least in the same number seats if not the same row so are behind each other.  It gets more incompetent each year.

Team Langoustine and co - if you're taking reservations for the CA encampment I'll have two, even though the wheelchair won't move on the bl**dy stoney roadways.

Finally!

At random I decided to leave a blank password in the login details and clicked twice (ignoring the prompt to enter a password) and I managed to login.

I only wanted Mulsanne camping, so there was no issue with selling out, there were still Blue Nord/Sud, Houx, Houx Annex etc still showing available.

The allocation available looks much better than last year's Beausejour or bust selection - just a shame they hadn't explained the login system very well....

Thats what i was thinking alright Del, by the way Rob those Bleu Nord/Sud etc have been giving that impression of being available since monday until you try to add them to your cart and it comes up as either sold out or not enough credits the damn site can't even make up its mind what error to give you back .

By email today,I've been asked to rejoin the ACO to get my usual allocation. It's getting quite pricey (€98 I think).

I don't want to do this unless I know I can shift 10 tickets, or at least 7 (3 being possibly for me, Phil & George).

Anyone want to make a firm commitment to tickets through me now? (I've had the same clump of pitches in Blue Nord for a few years now).

Cost will be face value plus portion of postage and membership.

I probably have to do this by the weekend to secure the tickets.

Miracles do still happen.

After trying to book 12 Tickets BN on the ACO Website without success (I got  the same errors as everybody else) I complained by e-mail to the ticket office and wrote them about what I had tried to book. I got the "We acknowledge receipt of your order which will be registered within the next 10 days" automatic reply as some of you have got also. I really didn't expect anything after that.

Today I got a confirmation and an invoice for my booking. I'm stunned! I will try to buy lottery tickets tonight - this is obviously my day!

Well - I am absolutely disgusted!!

When I first tried to get (camping) tickets on 7th Nov, there were none available for the 'good' sites, and I emailed them with my requirements.  I received the "......will be registered within 10 days" response.  Heard nothing more.

I tried the on line booking system yesterday (don't forget it's been open to non-members for a week), and found there were tickets available on practically every site, including MB.  Booked them, but the system would not let me pay - it just hung after entering the cc details.  Left it for several hours and finally lost it when we had a short (2 sec) power outage.

Tried again today, but fewer tickets available, and the only ones I could get on MB or BN were non-contiguous, by a long way - like 1 in rang 67, another in rang 81 and 2 more elsewhere!!  Eventually booked tickets on Expo - but again the system wouldn't let me pay.  Emailed the office, and got a stock answer back.

Just tried again, and managed to get the last 4 tickets on Expo, and it managed to accept my payment.

Similarly, earlier in the month I got T20 tickets as there were none availble in T19.  But now there are plenty of tickets for T19 available.  I again emailed the office and tried to swap, but with (as yet) no response.

Apart from the obviously very fragile on-line system, how come all these tickets were not availble on the priority system??

You appear to be having exactly the same problem which I've been having with the Classic tickets - once I get to paying it just freezes.  I've tried 3 different cards with the same results each time.  Barry seems to have had a lot more luck than me for some reason - why it works for some and not for others is a mystery.  Mind you, crap purchasing software is common here in France - in fact loads of retail outlets don't even have online purchasing at all, just flimsy websites, poorly written.

Is the Big Cheese about because he did talk about a meeting with the ACO to air our grievances - I wonder if anything came of it?  As you say, mad that now anybody can buy MB on line when it didn't come up for members only.  Given the amount of money I've spent with this organisation over the years, it's turning into a gigantic p*ss take.  But maybe this year with a worldwide recession they will get hit in the wallet a bit more (the only reason I can think of for the MB availability at this late stage is that the agencies have pre-sold fewer tickets than they anticipated) and the customer might get a look in for a change.  Yeah, yeah, pigs over the Sarthe again. ::)

Deb,

The agency I use has a massive waiting list both for the 24 hour and the Classic next year for MB spots, the odd ticket always becomes once the exclusive period to cough up the monies ends. In the first instance these then go to the those on the agency waiting list. The only way to guarantee MB tickets, love it or lothe it is to book through the agencies.

Jules

This still doesn't explain how MB tickets are now available to all via the ACO though.  And I'd rather sleep in my car than pay the inflated agency prices.  Langoustine are OK but some are just taking the p*ss.

And it wasn't only MB - I tried Houx and BN as well, and enough (5) tickets were available on all.

Mention something on CA and every bugger on the planet knows about it!  As I type there are 31 visitors but only 3 members viewing.

Mentioned to Steve that there always seem to be about 40 people logged in what ever the time these days, he said that they were:
'Generally Google type search engine 'bot's'
No idea what that is , but he's an expert.

It asks you to enter a phone number to receive a text with a code to allow you to change you password, I've tried it 3 times still no SMS received ???

I had the same problem.
The answer is to ring the ACO:
00 33 243 40 24 24
Ask for the ticket office. A guy called Maxime sorted me out in a flash.
