4th : Le Mans testday
8th-11th : 24h Nürburgring (provisional date, hope they'll move it to somewhere in May or end of July)
12h-18th : Le Mans race

Its only an Anniversary, and not a wedding itself, so be at Le Mans, you know you want to be. You could always claim that you forgot it. LOL !

I haven't spent an anniversary with Mr T for nearly 30 years since it clashes with a festival I always go to. It doesn't seem to have resulted in divorce yet. Go for it, chaps - you can celebrate the anni any time but the cars only come here once a year. >:D

Can't belive I'm saying this, but brundle has tweeted that he thinks its possible.

LM has also landed right in the middle of the Euro 2012 with games on all week! (that's football by the way or soccer if your american!)

He has stated publicly - on more than one occasion - that he wants to drive at LM again, and to do it with his son.
He [they?] will also be free for the practice day on June 3rd as Monte Carlo is being run on May 27th next year.

Every year the speculation starts about when the race will be, and I've won a few bets this year on the exact date. But of course living here I'm in the know, but then you should all be too. If you ask the ACO they'll tell you - it's always the 24th weekend of the year, which is logical. But being French it is always the 24th weekend of the year, except when it isn't. ::)

I am off the hook for a year, as 'er indoors birthday in on the 11th, and I always miss it.

Those dates make it possible for me to fianlly see Nurburgring. well if I can find the money that is.

Damm and bugger it. I booked the weekend before off.....now I'm going to have to shuffle it.
And keep it in my pants as well - I'd figured that if the missus fell preganant about now, it wouldn't matter as nature suggests that the baby would come either 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after - now it'll fall spot on....

I'd keep your pants on till Xmas if I were you, don't believe this 40 weeks tosh, the little buggers can appear weeks before that, one of ours was 5 weeks early, and a friends 8.

Phil, I will be in touch with you regarding Nurburgring, but will wait for confirmation of the date first, as I have also seen May 17-20 given elsewhere, but June date was mentioned during silverstone broadcast last weekend.

Fixed date should be known around January, hope they'll get it sooner. Can't take any hotel bookings yet, they're all waiting on the date to be announced.
Was thinking about dropping the Ring from my schedule next year and head on to Goodwood & LM Classic instead ... (unless someone needs a guide over at the Nordschleife ;D)

Its impossible to calulate the number of sleeps till lift off. Are you counting the falling asleep on the couch, waking up mid morning and then crawling into bed for another hour, or counting falling asleep in the car on journeys (hopefully not whilst driving, been there done that and not recommended) or catching up with a bit of sleep on the bog at work.
See its just not something you can calculate. ;D

Looking at the ACO 'pre-entry' list this morning, I noticed a significant line...
"Please note that all teams entered in the FIA World Endurance Championship are automatically qualified for the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours."
I wonder how that might affect the decision of private teams considering the WEC...
