Title: Chris Evans good deed Post by: Snoring Rhino on June 30, 2011, 09:23:37 pm The Chris Evans's entourage of very rich people willing to donate very large sums of money to Children In Need has made its way to the Chewton Glen Hotel just down the road from me today, I believe next stop is Goodwood Festival of Speed. I just had to ride through the grounds on my way home and spotted this collection on the lawn (sorry not a very good pic). I was treated to following his 250 GTO out of the grounds and out to the A35, it looked and sounded gorgeous, all though not as concours as you might expect for £12m! No sign of the Black Coburn machine though, Top man for making them available for such a good cause though.

The colburn car was sold to make room for the original GTO I think. Title: Re: Chris Evans good deed Post by: Bob U on July 01, 2011, 08:10:13 am Glad to see he hasn't had the F40 painted white. Heard on the radio that his "convoy" was to be the first cars allowed through the Hindhead Tunnel. Can you imagine the glorious noise as they went through.

He's made huge amounts of money over the years for a man with not a huge amount of talent, but fair play to him for shelling out the cash on some classy classy cars..... anyone with a 250 GTO gets my instant respect! Love the fact that he's prepared to let people see them in all their glory - which is how it should be! Not just see them, these guys pay huge amounts of money (to Children In Need) to drive them down from London to the Chewton Glen (which is closed for a "private Party") where they will be spoilt rotten, and then on to FOS today. Oh to have money! He's made huge amounts of money over the years for a man with not a huge amount of talent, but fair play to him for shelling out the cash on some classy classy cars..... anyone with a 250 GTO gets my instant respect! He still owns the 250#gt California - bumped into him last year at the Mille Miglia and had a chat about it. The 250GT0 is the rarer (and not as pretty) '64 model orginally owned by Col. R Hoare who started the Maranello dealership back in the '60's. Title: Re: Chris Evans good deed Post by: Steve Pyro on July 04, 2011, 11:13:07 am All those phone manufacturers think they can 'add value' to a mobile phone by wedging a minute lens in the back and calling that a camera.
When Nikon come out with a DSLR that I can make phone calls on will be the time for me to take up underwater soot juggling. Title: Re: Chris Evans good deed Post by: Jules G on July 04, 2011, 12:23:53 pm Steve,
The camera which comes with the blackberry phone is very good, there's even a small flash unit as well.
