Mind you its been a quiet day over here :)4-hour GT race this afternoon and the older cars have a 4-hour race in the morning, with modern Prototypes (mostly Normas, Wolfes etc) in the afternoon. The VdeV is a great little series so it's good that it's come here for the first time this year. Hope there's enough interest to keep it coming back. Title: Re: Today's Big Event Post by: termietermite on May 01, 2011, 09:27:59 pm Yup. He won the 2-hour race this morning (the B16 won the four hour version).
Personally, I think the 3rd pic is the hardest to identify. Title: Re: Today's Big Event Post by: alibongo on May 01, 2011, 09:43:53 pm Yup. Ta'. Some more of the old farts here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/97986095@N00/sets/72157626628657264/ Nice victory for Messrs Nicolet in the Chevron. I do agree about the Falcon pilot - never was the most wieldy vehicle on the planet - even in its heyday. There was a similarly "one-sided" battle between the little Alpine and a 3l Porker which the Alpine won by sheer driver ability. A great way to pass three days and a good way to avoid that other stuff that was going on. |
