Title: Mercedes back in GT racing
Post by: Bentley boy on August 02, 2010, 10:36:22 pm
Looks interesting http://www.lemans.org/en/news/Mercedes-gets-ready-for-GT-racing_1434.html
If it sounds as good as some of their cars being thrown around their Brooklands track I can't wait to hear it  :-*

Nice looking car, if they race at Le Mans, I wonder who they will get to drive it?

May be Schumacher, as I wonder how much longer he will survive in F1.

But hang on, to many walls in Le Mans  ;D

After probably the most atrocious driving I ever have seen in a GP (even by his standards) in Hungry yesterday, I don't think Schumacher deserves anything more than a mobility scooter.

So, they want to compete against the Astons again!

I dare say that now that they have shown thier cards, there will be more developments from the other GP2 &3 teams.  Interesting.......

errr what's the GP2 and 3 single seater teams got to do with a Merc GT3 car?

And unless AMR do come out with a new GT3 contender (V12 Vantage anyone?) then the current DBRS9 isn't going to be much competition!

Is it just me that finds the inclusion of anything with the word "wing" in it, slightly ironic for a Mercedes entry??

 :o

If merc do come back the ACO better increase the height of the safety fences.

I wonder what would have happend if the Mrec and Williams had touched and Rubens killed in the ensuring crash. Would there be a case against MS for manslaughter?

It was chilling seeing someone prepared to cause an incident in such a way.

Nordic, you & I, and others have gone on for years about what a terd Schumacher is, nice to see that at forty he still behaves like a juvenile jackass.  Where are all of the MS apologist? The guys who are always chanting "it just show's how determined he is to win" and all that utter crap.  Schumacher is, and always has been a total jerk-off, straight from the Senna mould.
On the original topic, good to see Merecedes doing something other than spending bizzilions in F1.

SHAME ON YOU, ALL OF YOU !!!

The thread is about the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. And what do you turn it into ? A senseless bashing of poor old Schumi. And that already in the second post. What an utter disgrace !!! You should all be ashamed of yourself.  ;D

Back on topic: I heard in a promo film that the car will cost 177.000 Euros when it will hit the market next year. That's cheaper than I thought and I'm not surprised if that won't be the final price tag for the complete car.

Thats better.....Scummi and Merc have a long history with its routes in Sports Car and Touring cars, can't see that the cheating scheming git would not be involved and that would not be good for the sport....unless your German that is (only because national pride would allow you to over look his bad side).

Not sure why he says he likes it so much, compared to the clean and crisp lines of the Astons the new ferrari still looks like a bag of after thoughts but it is an improvement, pity that almost all of them will be for sale in ten years time with barely delivery mileage on them.

I like it - It looks like a snarling beast rather than a hairdressers weekend car.....

But what do I know? I drive a Honda S2000 (until I get made to sell it and buy something big, german, and diesel)  :'( :'(

Anyone want to buy a Honda S2000?  2 careful owners......and me.... :)

Plus 1 here.

I couldn't believe how he had so little regard for the life of his ex-team mate. That has to be about the worst incident I've seen since, well, the last time... it's seriously scary to watch.

As to the Top Gear thing on Senna, there was never any doubt Senna had a huge talent, but as much emotional claptrap the TG presenters used to gloss it over, the man was at best a reckless fool. Or he would have been if it wasn't all so premeditated...

Cretins, both.
