Title: Camping Bleu Nord - Availability of water
Post by: Nick M on July 05, 2010, 12:41:57 pm

Morning everyone,

Is there water available from stand pipes on Bleu Nord ?  Just looking to find out whether it's possible to fill up the water tanks on our motorhome once we get to the site, or whether we'll need to do it beforehand.

From what I can tell, there is water on Blue Sud but it's the 'timer' type taps which you have to keep held in, which isn't the end of the world.  But I couldn't find anything which said that there was something similar on Blue Nord.

Thanks in advance.

There was a stand pipe next to the shower/toilet blocks on Bleu Nord at the top end of the site. You would need a hose and an adapter as it was behind the plastic showers. I can't comment on the other places.

There is also one by the security cabin at the entrance that also had a toilet waste disposal point.

Just one thing the taps are an odd size, make sure you have a few adaptors. You can also empty your loo, in the big sewer hole by the loos in the middle of BN.

Or some duct tape... ;)  I think we've got various adapters and hose end fittings in The Bus, so should be able to cobble something together.  Worst case there's a Leroy Merlin nearby.

Oooh, sounds delightful...  But handy...  Thanks for that :)

Not if you are camped on the pitch opposite.

Have you ever noticed how the Stench is not too bad untill the Camion comes to empty the Tank.    I kinda got the impression that they deliver the stuff not take it away.

t.

Shame the guy from the one of the last camper vans left on Monday (directly towards the road from Werner) didnt find the big sewer hole, he emptied his in one of the bogs and then rinsed it out in the sink :(, poor guy who was brushing his teeth at the time came out gagging, hence the turds floating in the only sink left open on Monday morning, what a Tw*t.

Brian, that particular event was, I think, witnessed by Powermite. He's never been the same since.
