Post by: Barry on June 22, 2010, 11:24:38 pm Does anyone have a layout for MB camping? Haven't seen one for 2010, but Beermountain have the 2009 and 2008 plans on their website. Although our pitch isn't on the 2009 plan. Common theme is that the further down the alphabet the Rang is, the nearer the track you are, and the lower the place number, the nearer to the entrance you are. However as the ACO moves in mysterious ways, it will be totally arse about face for the Classic. Title: Re: Classic: Who, What, Where, When. Post by: Lazy B'stard on June 23, 2010, 02:01:42 pm I remember Martin's snoring all too well. At one point it went up a gear and i could here people giggling in other tents everytime you let rip with another.
As for your pitch, imagine where we were last year, looking toward the track we are left a bit on the next row back. Title: Re: Classic: Who, What, Where, When. Anyway, it is good to know that you are coming this year, I am sure I will be able to understand more of what you say the drunker I get ;D I recently did a course for four hours in "Understanding the Geordie accent", I think it was successful, wye aye man. I thought this is good so I went on to do the further education series of learning the main words and phrases, this was to be something of a disappointment as the whole thing only lasted 15 minutes and ten of that was for a coffee break!!!!! ;D ;D Dey do dat doh don't dey. Ok, sorry. On the plus side, Alfa did another 100 trouble free miles in mixed traffic and also in quite high temperatures in traffic. Forgot to mention.. As I drove through Durham I saw Plenty Sideways Andy walking along which led to meeting up for a pre planning drinky. I suspect he's going to have some space in his car but you didn't hear that from me ;) Can't wait to get going now. Post by: Gav Astill on July 04, 2010, 06:10:09 pm A couple of questions from a Classic 'Newbie';
This Dress Code mularkey - how is it enforced, i.e. is it strictly no shorts?, strictly no trainers?. When and where is it applied?. Are denim jeans classified as trousers? Also, it states that modern cars are not allowed 'into the circuit'. I have a camping ticket for Blue Nord, which I'm assuming is classicfied as outside the circuit so my modern MX-5 is OK. But is that so? Any advice greatfully accepted. thanks Gavin (Arriving on Thursday 0815 Portsmout Caen, returning Monday mid-day Cherbourg- Portsmouth) Title: Re: Classic: Who, What, Where, When. Post by: Barry on July 04, 2010, 06:22:55 pm Dress code only applies to the paddocks, I believe, and I've walked in there in just shorts and t shirts before now, although I have not gone in on the Saturday or sunday.
We have always camped on MB, which is inside the circuit, and modern cars are allowed in, I think that this applies in the village area, which is not accessable by cars unless you have a special pass. ACO are, I think, trying to create a Revival type event, as far as dressing up is concerned, without success, you can't tell the French to dress up if they don't want to. Not in the Fileing Cabinet! Not in my Briefcase. Not in the Jacket I wore on the way home from the 24 Heures! not in the Study. Not stashed in my Bed side drawer. Not in the Car. Not in my Rucksack. Not on the floor in my study. (Most likely place BTW). May be M has tidied it away. On her return I asked "Well I'd have files it in the Holiday Folder" came the reply . "Oh and where is that kept?" I enquired. "Can you check please". "No not there!" Oh Sh**. Right Don't Panic. Start systematic Search. re checked Safe, Draws and and Travel bads and Briefcase. No Joy. Of well I'll have to go though all the stuff in my Study. Phew! Panic over. Passport found!! ON the floor of my Study. How I didn't spot it be for is a mystery. :( :( :( :( :( Now just waiting for the Ticket Delivery tomorrow A.M. t. Title: Re: Classic: Who, What, Where, When.
