Title: And the day was not a good one for the RAF... Post by: mgmark on May 27, 2010, 03:31:02 am In amidst all of the stuff that is going on now, while we support and deliver to meet current operations, and deal with trying to make it all work within a desperately strangled budget, this is very sad to say the least http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8707680.stm (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8707680.stm).. my thoughts are with his family, and we have lost a good 'un.....

Title: Re: And the day was not a good one for the RAF... Post by: mgmark on May 28, 2010, 02:14:49 am Thanks chaps - all rather strange today here, with the feeling of loss of a good man at the top level, who was passionate through and through about the RAF, its values and what it stands for, and its people, with sadness across the Headquarters. A rather poignant short memorial service held this afternoon in the open air outside the Headquarters was followed at close of play by the time-honoured and traditional way of remembrance in the Mess.
