Have you got this to work yet?  (I posted about it yesterday) I've got the link but the screen is black and no sound.  Probably due to the ultra-slow internet in this r*ddy place! >:(

At least I've finally got one team up on the list (BMS Scuderia Italia).
Sorry 2 - AF Corse

Flying Lizard for GT2 honours?
I would love it, but with the 2 GT2 'Vettes I somehow doubt it now.

The Lizards squad have matched and beaten the Vettes in ALMS. They just need to stay out of trouble! The GT2 category has to be the hardest to call though. IMSA, Rizi, Lizards, Corvette, BMW!

Is the JLOC Lambo included because it is still there spluttering around trying to finish the 2009 event?

Or is it a new attempt to get the car to work?

Actually the ACO couldn't avoid this entry - JLOC was 1st in GT1 in the Asian Le Mans "Series", therefore got an automatic entry and obviously they took it!

I wonder what they will come up with this year. It'll be another good laugh for sure.

As for Kruse, that's mega disappointing !!! Still, crossing fingers, hopefully the one or the other drops out and they can jump in.

I'm still wondering who Gentelozzi greased to get the "GT2" Jaguar in.  The roller they showed at Road Atlanta supposedly wasn't close to spec.  I also heard that the car they raced at Laguna Seca was still being put together minutes before the race.

I suggest the other teams keep their garages locked at night.

There are probably 50 teams more deserving of that slot.

Anyway, besides the Audi-Peugeot battle Part IV this year GT2 is the class to watch. Other than in the last years, when it was a Porsche vs. Ferrari privateer duell (OK, with some works support here and there...) this year we will also have a full manufactorer clash in that class: BMW vs. Corvette with both the Pratt & Miller guys and the Schnitzer team being extremely professional.

AFAIK GT2 was once designed as a low-budget class for private entries - Is this what the ACO wanted?

They certainly did all they could to keep P2s as privateers by discouraging Porsche and Honda from making factory entries, but they  appear to have just bowed under the overwhelming pressure to turn GT2 into the manufacturers' platform.  But then there has been a lot of factory support behind Risi, the Lizards, IMSA Matmut et al so I guess it was coming.  Pity in many ways but what a race we have in prospect so that's what matters in the end.  But then GT2 has for years provided the best racing, imho.

GT2 is indeed going to be great battle although i can't help thinking the BMW won't have the legs down the straights. I quite fancy a tenner on a Porsche victory this year. I'm always wrong though ::)

Just had a good look at GT2 - The Corvette Rcing C6 ZR1's will blow the pants off everything else esp' with that driver line up: Oliver Gavin, Olivier Beretta, Johnny O'Connell and Jan Magnussen.
Luc Alphand watch your mirrors mate!

Can't see the BMW's having enough grunt! Nor can I see a lot of people in the grandstands with BMW flags.

Contary to all, I do see the BMW's doing well. They have factory blessing after all. However I think they will have a huge task to catch the Vette's who will probably be long gone and having passed the GT1 cars will be  snapping on the heels of the slower LMP2's.

Not sure about the Jag though. Could be a wild card

The Beemers could spring a surprise, BMW do have a record of doing that over the recent years, however the last time they tried with a saloon it did not go quite so well!.

GT2 will be all about the Vettes I think.

I think the Lambo this year will be a much stronger contender, if its left to the JLOC it will be a shambles again, But VAG will be very keen to ensure that does not happen again and I suspect, if a car does turn up it will be a much better prepared car.

They'll run the Nurburgring 24h a month before Le Mans, which should be the best rehearsal they can have.
BMW could be able to give the Vettes and Lizards a hard time at LM.

What was the last saloon car at LM?

Maybe the BMW3.5CSL? but was that not a sports car? Maybe the Venturi's what were they classed as? The Jag 220's?

BMWs last saloon at Le Sarthe was the 320Turbo I think ??? ???

JLOC have a brand new car to run, hope its better prepared for the task than the last one.

I dont think the grp 5 320 Turbo ever raced at Le Mans, so the last saloon BMW would be the CSL.

The last saloon style car with practical 4 seats would be the Nissan skyline I think?
