Post by: Nobby Diesel on January 22, 2010, 01:43:40 pm
Some folk on Piston Heads have tickets already!
Anyone on here yet?

We've ordered via TL, so I guess we'll remain in the waiting room for a while ;)

My tickets were delivered Friday to a neighbour even though I'd re-arranged delivery to work Thursday evening  ::)

Got a UPS mail last night advising me of a package to be delivered today that started in Le Mans at 10:26 yesterday, then to Roissy (arrival 21:05) then Koln (23:30) then Stansted (03:56) then Reading at 07:06. going out for delivery at 07:25.

Bit of a roundabout route, but certainly efficient.

The only problem being unless they come soon, I won't be here to sign...

Sure enough, it was the tickets - no signature required - it's only an Express delivery. So, I have 10 tickets (and plastic folders) all in Place 91 and 92 but across 5 Ranges. One CA member is having 4 and another 3. Do I give then the same Place number in four and three ranges, or what, to put them together in their group?

I just noticed - they are exactly the same 10 positions which I had last year. But as I wasn't there, I can't answer my question!

Tom, you had some of mine last year, do you know the answer? You had B12   91, B12 92 and B13 91. Were they together?

Smokie - I think you're on Bleu Nord.
THIS (http://www.beermountain.com/mapbluenord.htm) is Beermountain's 2009 map.

AHh yes I remember looking at that last year, and trying to work out how it works.

So where is Zone B, Rang 13, Place 91? I can find a 91 across the top and a 13 down the side but that's in Parcelle C.

I think you'll find that there is only one 13/91. The zones/ parcelles give you an idea of the location, with A being at the north end and H at the south. Looks like the boundary between B and C has shifted slightly.

If you guys are struggling to work out where you are .... imagine how it will be when the ever helpful ACO site crew try and find your spots ???
Last year was fun!!

I pick mine up and the notification says they'll be available from 1st April so if they're not with you by then, I'd panic!

All mine arrived yesterday. Wanted adjacent seats in the ACO grandstand but no go this year, still - never mind.

UPS just posted them through the letterbox as no one at home at the time - so much for a signed for delivery!

Got mine today (email yesterday from UPS). Neighbour signed for them.

ps - just noticed client number is on each of the tickets. No big deal, could be useful for sorting out unauthorised touts though.

pps - must book a ferry!

Just took a closer look at mine - 6 tickets all in a line!  :(. I has expected a block, which makes better use of the space.

It might be possible to sort something with the neighbours when we get there but that seems unlikely.

It must nearly be time to start up the "whos where in BN" thread. Im in Zone D Rang 25-30 , place 59

That's our train. We didn't book 1st class so I don't think we have access to the lounge, but I'd be up for meeting for drinks somewhere if possible.

We will definitely be up for a meet for a drink or several. We can meet in the bar at the TGV station.

Still nothing and being told the end of April  ??? ??? Decent tickets are a nightmare tried with the ACO for years and kept getting Mugged. With a ticket company now, trouble is overpriced tickets and have to buy 2 entrance gens when you book  :( :( :(
